12:21. The valve of adjustment of pressure in the brake system

GENERAL INFORMATION

Prevention

The valve of adjustment of pressure in the brake system is located on the right side of assembly of a back axis. On some models with back drum brakes valves are combined with working brake cylinders.

Do not try to take off the valve for adjustment pressure on the models equipped with Bendix brakes with ABS. This work needs to be performed at service station.

At installation on the former place, the valve it has to be adjusted, with use of the special equipment.


Removal and installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To lift a back part of the car and to record on supports.
2. To disconnect a valve drive spring from a suspension bracket.
3. To unscrew connecting nuts and to disconnect brake pipes from the valve.
4. To unscrew bolts of fastening of the valve and to take the valve from under the car.
5. Installation is made in the sequence of the return to removal.
6. To remove air from the brake system and to adjust the valve at service station.
