3.2.4. Installation of the fuel pump of high pressure BOSCH

GENERAL INFORMATION

Fuel pump of high pressure Bosch and nozzle
1 – pump,
2 – pump drive pulley,
3 – arm,
4 – electrically the operated engine stop valve,
5 – structure of thermostatic management of start of the cold engine,
6 – nozzle case,
7 – spray,
8 – the regulating laying,
9 – cover of a control opening of the pump.

Placement on the fuel pump of high pressure Bosch of the indicator of hour type in installation time


PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Uncover a head of the block of cylinders.
2. Establish a bent shaft of the engine so that the final valve of the cylinder No. 1 was in the beginning of opening.
3. Uncover (it is specified by an arrow) the control opening located in a back part of the pump.
4. Incline the pump outside of the engine.
5. In THOSE XUD 7 engines it is necessary to turn off surely management of system of start of the cold engine.
6. In an adjusting opening install the indicator of hour type with an arm 0117 AK1 and the extender 0117 AK2.
7. Turning a bent shaft of the engine, find the lower dead point of the piston of a divider of the fuel pump of high pressure.
8. Nullify the indicator of hour type.
9. Turn a bent shaft of the engine to situation in which the valve of the cylinder No. 1 begin to open (it corresponds to cylinder No. 4 piston VMT).
10. In this situation record an engine flywheel.
11. Slowly turn the pump in the direction of an injection advancing until the indicator of hour type behind the lower dead point shows necessary value.
12. Tighten pump fasteners the corresponding moment.

Installation check

These operations are performed after installation of the pump.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the element fixing a flywheel.
2. Turn the crankshaft on 1/4 turns in the direction opposite to the direction of its rotation.

Prevention

Turn a bent shaft according to the direction of rotation and record it in cylinder No. 4 piston VMT.


3. The indicator of hour type has to show the correct value in this provision. If the value shown by the sensor does not correspond necessary, then it is necessary to install the pump once again.
4. Remove the devices serving for installation of the pump, and unscrew the bolts fixing a pump pulley.
5. Fix a cover of a control opening, the top casing of the drive and a glow plug.
6. In THOSE XUD 7 engines connect management of system of start of the cold engine.
7. Perform other operations in the return sequence in relation to dismantling.
8. Remove air from fuel system.
9. Adjust idling turns.
