3.4.1.1. Ignition coil

GENERAL INFORMATION

On early models the coil of ignition is installed on the block of cylinders above a starter or on an inlet collector. On later models the coil of ignition is installed at the left end face of a head of the block of cylinders.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. To remove a weight wire from the accumulator.
2. To remove ventilation hoses from a casing of an inlet collector and the adjusting valve of air temperature.
	3. To remove the electrical wiring socket from the condenser installed on the ignition coil.

4. To remove high-voltage wires (the drawing at the left) and the socket (the drawing on the right) from the ignition coil.

5. To unscrew two bolts (are specified by shooters) fastenings of the coil of ignition (on the right – bolts of fastening of the coil of ignition on the Bosch L3.1 system).
	6. To remove the ignition coil (in the drawing – system of ignition Motronic).
