2.8.1. Check of level of oil in the transmission

GENERAL INFORMATION

Prevention

On models since 1994 the specified interval for these procedures – 120 000 km.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. To check the level of gearbox oil in mechanical transmissions.
2. To install the car on a plain horizontal surface and to check oil level in 5 minutes after an engine stop.
3. To turn a steering wheel to the left against the stop and to wipe area around a filler/level stopper which is on the left side of the transmission.
	4. To unscrew a stopper and to check oil level in the transmission which has to reach edge of an opening of a filler/level.
5. To be sure that the required level is reached, it is necessary to fill in carefully oil before emergence from an opening of a thin stream of oil. After filling of oil to screw up a stopper, having tightened it the corresponding moment.
