1.19. Control bulbs and indexes

GENERAL INFORMATION

Index of temperature of cooling liquid (1)

Average temperature of cooling liquid during the movement makes from 80 ° up to 90 °C. During the movement on the city, in street traffic jams temperature of cooling liquid often exceeds 90 °C that causes turning on of the fan of cooling. If temperature exceeds 110 °C, the special control bulb joins.

If this bulb is lit during the movement along with STOP bulb, then it is necessary to stop immediately and after cooling of the engine to check the level of cooling liquid. In case of repeated fire of a control bulb it is necessary to check the pump of cooling liquid, the cooling fan, and also tightness of the cooling system.

Control bulb of self-diagnostics (3)

The blinking of a control bulb demonstrates existence of malfunction with system of injection of fuel or system of ignition. At the same time it is necessary to address immediately on service station for malfunction elimination.

Control bulb of a reserve of fuel (4)

This bulb lights up if in the fuel tank there are fuels less, than 6 dm3.

Index of level of fuel (5)

The scale of the index is broken into 4 parts of volume of the fuel tank. Its volume makes 70 dm3.

Index of level of engine oil (6)

The engine should not work within several minutes, the car has to be on a flat surface, and ignition has to be included. Level of oil is normal if the arrow is in the middle on the right line. If the arrow costs on the left line, then it is necessary to add oil in system.

In operating time of the engine of the shooter is at rest.

Bulb of STOP (7)

This bulb lights up along with control bulbs:

 – engine oil pressure;
 – the increased temperature of cooling liquid;
 – the system preventing blocking of wheels (ABS) and level of brake fluid.

Fire of this bulb signals about need of an immediate stop of the car.

Control bulb of pressure of oil (8)

The control bulb of pressure of oil which is on an instrument guard begins to shine at inclusion of ignition and has to go out after the engine is started. If this bulb is lit during the movement along with STOP bulb, then it is necessary to stop and check oil level immediately. If level normal, and a bulb all the same shines, then it is necessary to address to repair shop.

Control bulb of the emergency brake and very low level of brake fluid (9)

Fire of this bulb testifies about:

 – the tightened emergency brake;
 – too low level of brake fluid in a tank. In that case it is necessary to check the level of brake fluid, to add it and to address on car repair shop for establishment of the reason of reduction of brake fluid.

Control bulb of presence of water at the fuel filter (10)

If this bulb lights up, then it is necessary to remove water from the fuel filter as soon as possible.

Control bulb of accumulator charging (11)

This bulb begins to shine at inclusion of ignition and has to go out after the engine is started. The luminescence of a control bulb of accumulator charging during the movement testifies to malfunction of system of charging. It is necessary to switch off immediately the engine and to check a tension of a driving belt of the generator, and also fastening of clips of the accumulator. If everything is normal, but the bulb continues to burn, ask for the help on the nearest car repair shop.

If this bulb is lit, then it is necessary to replace brake shoes as soon as possible.

Control bulb of level of cooling liquid (13)

If this bulb is lit, then it is necessary to add cooling liquid. If need of a dolivaniye of cooling liquid arises often, then it is necessary to check tightness of the cooling system.

Control bulb of system of ABS (14) preventing blocking of wheels

Functioning of this system is controlled by three control bulbs:

 – STOP (7);
 – level of brake fluid (9);
 – ABS (14) systems.

Three cases are possible:

All three bulbs light up at the same time, demonstrating that the ABS system does not function (there is no help when braking, the brake pedal has the big course and its pressing demands application of the increased effort). In that case it is necessary to ask immediately for the help on the nearest car repair shop (it is necessary to go very slowly).

b. If the bulb 10 does not shine or blinks in a minute after start of the engine, then it shows malfunction in the ABS system. It is necessary to remove immediately causes of defect at car repair shop.
