3.1.2.6. Start of the engine after capital repairs

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. After installation of the engine in the car to check the level of oil and cooling liquid.

2. To unscrew spark plugs and to disconnect system of ignition.

3. To turn the engine a starter until the lamp of emergency pressure of oil goes out.

4. To screw in spark plugs and to connect system of ignition.

5. To start the engine and to check tightness of all systems. Smoking of the engine is the normal phenomenon as there is a burning out of the oil which got on a detail at assembly of the engine.

6. On engines with 16 valves the knock of hydraulic pushers of valves before full filling with their oil will be heard.

7. To check installation of a corner of an advancing of ignition and turns of idling.

8. After several minutes of operation of the engine repeatedly to check levels of oil and cooling liquid.

9. If new pistons, rings or inserts of a bent shaft were installed on the engine, with the engine it is necessary to handle as new and to make a running in then to replace engine oil and the filter.
