1. To take off a driving belt of the camshaft. |
2. To merge liquid from the cooling system. |
3. To unscrew a nut of the lower support. |
4. To remove knot of the air filter and air ducts. |
5. To uncover the distributor and a linking of wires of ignition. |
6. To remove the fuel pump. |
7. To unscrew a nut of an elastic support of the right top arm of the engine. |
8. To lift the engine on height of 6-8 cm. In case of use of the elevator the cowl needs to be established vertically. |
9. To unscrew bolts of fastening of the right top arm to the engine. |
10. To lower the engine, and the right top arm has to be on an elastic support. |
11. To disconnect pipelines of cooling liquid, supply of fuel and electric sockets. |
12. To disconnect an accelerator pedal cable. |

Cm3 MODELS 1905 C 16 VALVES
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. To uncover a head of the block of cylinders. |
2. To remove a weight wire from the accumulator. |
3. To unscrew a bolt from a plastic casing of a pulley of the pump of the amplifier of steering. |
4. To take off a driving belt from the leading pulley of the steering drive. |
5. To unscrew a bolt and to remove a pulley from the end of the camshaft. |
6. To remove electric wires from a head of the block of cylinders. |
7. To remove hoses of cooling liquid from a head of the block of cylinders. |
8. To remove the ignition distributor. |
9. To remove a final collector. |
10. To take off a gear belt. |
11. Evenly, in a certain sequence to weaken ten bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders (for one pass on a half of a turn) until all bolts cannot be unscrewed manually. |
12. To remove a head of the block of cylinders.
Prevention
Not to turn a bent shaft at the removed head of the block of cylinders, otherwise damp sleeves can be put forward from the block of cylinders.

13. If the head of the block of cylinders is removed for capital repairs, to remove camshafts from a head of the block of cylinders. |

Cm3 MODELS 1998 C 16 VALVES
Process of removal of a head of the block of cylinders is similar to cm3 model 1905 with 16 valves (see above) except for the following changes:
– if necessary to remove both camshafts; – at removal of an inlet collector to switch-off the control unit; – to unscrew a bolt of fastening of a pipe of the masloizmeritelny probe from a head of the block of cylinders.

Installation
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. To check a condition of bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders, especially their carving. To check each bolt for visible wear or damages, replacing them if necessary. |
2. If length of bolts is less than 122,0 mm, they can be reused. However if at least one of bolts has big length, bolts have to be replaced in a set. |
Prevention
It is recommended to replace the filter of the channel of lubricant systematically.
|
3. To clear the surfaces of connection special cleaning means (for example, Magnus Magstrip or Decaploc 88). |
4. It is impossible to shabrit the surfaces of connection of details from aluminum at all. |
5. To clean a carving of openings in the block of cylinders by means of a mm M11x150 tap. |
6. The interfaced surfaces of a head and the block of cylinders have to be absolutely pure. For their cleaning use a firm plastic or wooden scraper. When cleaning be careful as it is very easy to damage aluminum alloy. Check that the deposit did not get to oil and water canals, it is especially important for the lubrication system as the deposit can block supply of oil to engine components. If necessary clear channels. |
7. Check the interfaced surfaces of a head and the block of cylinders for existence of notches, deep scratches and other damages. If defects small, they can be removed with machining, but at major defects of a detail are subject to replacement. |
8. Using a metal ruler and the probe, check planeness of the interfaced surfaces. |
9. Clear openings under bolts in the block. Screwing up of a bolt in the opening filled with oil can break off the block because of hydraulic pressure. |

1. To take the flanges holding sleeves of cylinders. |

2. By means of a stripper 8.0134 L to extend a pin of installation of a head of the block of cylinders on the left side. To establish a pin in the top situation, inserting a drift for pins with a diameter of 5 mm. |
3. To check whether the second pin is established on the right. |
4. To establish laying of a head of the block of cylinders by a ledge towards coupling. Thickness of new laying makes 1,2 mm in engines with not repolished head of the block of cylinders and 1,4 mm in engines after regrinding of the head designated by a symbol R before a bolt No. 10. Laying 1,4 mm thick is designated by a special cut on a ledge (see rice. Identification of laying of a head of the block of cylinders). |
5. To insert the plastic filter into its nest. |
6. To establish a head of the block of cylinders. |
7. To take a drift. |
8. To clear and grease a carving of ten bolts, to insert them together with linings into the corresponding openings. The bolt supplied with the remote plug has number 8 according to a tightening order. |
10. Previously to tighten bolts the moment of 80 Nanometers according to the specified sequence (see rice. Order of tightening of bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders). |
11. To lift the engine and in a head of the block of cylinders to establish two bolts of fastening of the right arm of the engine. To tighten bolts the moment of 20 Nanometers. |
12. To weaken a bolt of fastening of the right arm of the engine in the block of cylinders. |
13. To lower the engine (the right top arm has to be on an elastic support). |
14. To tighten a nut of the right arm of the engine in the block of cylinders and a nut of a connecting clip the moment of 35 Nanometers. |
15. To completely weaken a bolt of a head of the block of cylinders No. 1, to tighten its moment 20 Nanometers. It is necessary to use the plug 8.0154 and to tighten a bolt on a corner 120 ° (a six-sided bolt) or on a corner 300 ° (Torx bolt). |
16. To repeat these operations in relation to each of other bolts according to the specified order. |
17. To check a gap of valves and to adjust in case of need. |
18. To establish a cover of a head of the block of cylinders. |
19. To establish a guide of the index of level of oil and the diagnostic socket. |
20. To fix a jellied mouth of oil to an inlet collector. |
21. To fix details of system of production of exhaust gases. |
22. To connect an accelerator cable, pipelines of cooling liquid, supply of fuel and electric sockets. |
23. To establish a driving belt of the camshaft. |
24. To fill in cooling liquid in the cooling system. |
25. In case of installation of a new driving belt of the camshaft after cooling of the engine it is necessary to adjust its tension repeatedly. |
26. To tighten a head of the block of cylinders (additional operation, is necessary only in case of application of bolts with six-sided heads). For this purpose follows: – to uncover a head of the block of cylinders; – to completely weaken a bolt of fastening No. 1 and to tighten its moment 20 Nanometers; – it is necessary to use the plug and to tighten a bolt on a corner 120 °; – to repeat these actions in relation to each of other bolts according to the specified order. |
27. To check a gap of valves and to adjust in case of need. |
28. To establish a cover of a head of the block of cylinders. |
29. To tighten a bolt of fastening of the right arm of the engine in the block of cylinders the moment of 20 Nanometers. It is not necessary to tighten elements of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders any more. |
