13:13. Replacement of the forward panel

GENERAL INFORMATION

Forward panel

1 – a forward cross-piece with two fans,

2 – a forward cross-piece with one fan,

3 – side elements

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. To open a cowl.
2. To remove a negative wire from the accumulator.
3. To lift a forward part of the car and to record on supports.
4. To remove the plastic antimud casings which are in niches for wheels.
5. To remove a front bumper.
6. To remove forward indexes of turns.
	7. To disconnect forward electric sockets of headlights and the fan of a radiator.

8. These sockets are located in forward corners of a motor compartment on models till 1992 (the drawing at the left) or in the right corner of a motor compartment on models since 1993 (the drawing on the right).
	9. To unscrew a bolt of fastening of the tire of grounding from a forward corner of a motor compartment.
10. To switch-off devices for correction of adjustment of light of headlights.
11. To disconnect hoses of a washer of headlights.
12. In a motor compartment to take the connecting level of a cable located behind the forward panel over a radiator.
13. In the presence to remove an element of an anti-tinkling sound and to disconnect a cable from a connector.
14. To remove a cable of opening of a cowl from the forward panel.
	15. To unscrew bolts (two or three bolts depending on model) fastenings of the basis of the forward panel to the lower beam.
16. By means of the screw-driver and special nippers to take two top latches holding a radiator. To raise a radiator for its extraction from ledges and to leave it in a motor compartment, without disconnecting from it hoses.
	17. To unscrew two top bolts from each party of the forward panel.
18. To release brackets, the fixing lower strips of finishing of a headlight to forward wings.
	19. To unscrew four elements of the top fastening of a forward top cross-piece.
	20. To take a forward cross-piece, having pulled it forward.
	21. It is possible to remove together the block of the forward panel and a bumper.

Repair

The forward cross-piece (attached directly to side arches of wheels) is an element to which optical knots of headlights, fans and a radiator fasten.

The forward cross-piece is cast from artificial material and is not under repair by means of classical polyester pitch. However welding by fusion by means of the device giving hot air or by means of a big electric soldering iron is possible.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal.

2. To check whether all electric devices correctly function.
